Everything people usually want to know before taking a seat. If your question isn't here, write to [email protected] — a real person reads it.
humanyouare runs small weekly connection circles: ten people, the same faces, every week, two hours on Zoom. It's a long-term antidote to loneliness — a room where you're seen without performing and met without fixing, with the same ten people expecting you back each week.
There are two circles: the original circle for all walks of life, and The Elders Circle for older adults.
No. The circles are peer connection — not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment, and not a substitute for them. There's no clinical process. Just consistent, honest human presence, week after week. If you're in crisis or need clinical care, please reach a licensed professional or local emergency services.
Every circle is $125 USD a month — about $31 a week for four two-hour circles with people who hold your seat and expect you back. It's month to month with no contract; you can cancel anytime. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
The circle meets at the same time every week with the same ten people. We arrive and land. Then the room opens: one person at a time speaks from the place they usually protect, and the rest of us do the hardest, simplest job there is — we stay. No fixing, no flinching, no unsolicited advice.
Some weeks you speak, some weeks you witness. Both change you. When someone asks for accountability, the circle holds them to the life they say they want. Then we close, and the room holds your seat until next week.
Yes. The entire technology requirement is opening an email and clicking one link. No apps to download, no accounts to create, no passwords to remember.
Before your first circle, Jarek personally gets on a short call with you to practice together — so on the day itself, there's nothing new. Just people.
Yes. What's said in the circle stays in the circle. Sessions are not recorded — unless a recording or special exercise is clearly announced to everyone before the call, and joining that portion is always optional. Every member agrees never to record sessions or share what others disclose. The full agreement is in our terms.
People who feel lonely despite being surrounded by others. People carrying things the people in their life don't know how to hold. Elders whose world has gone quiet. Anyone willing to show up weekly, witness others, and be witnessed.
You don't need to be "a group person." Most members aren't — that's rather the point.
Teenagers (13–17) never join adult circles. Where a dedicated youth circle is open, a parent or legal guardian applies on the teen's behalf, signs a consent form, and remains the billing and primary contact throughout. Write to [email protected] to ask about youth circles.
Life happens. Your seat is held either way, and the circle continues. Missed sessions aren't refunded or credited — the room and your place in it are held for you every week regardless. What we ask is consistency as far as life allows, because the circle works precisely because the same faces keep showing up.
No. Nobody is ever required to share anything. Witnessing is participating — some weeks you'll speak, some weeks you'll listen, and both change you. Most people find that once the room goes first, they want to.
Apply at humanyouare.org/application — a few honest questions that take about five minutes. Then you and Jarek have a short, friendly call. Circles hold ten seats each and meet at the same time every week.
And if you attend your first circle and it isn't for you, say so within 7 days and your first month is refunded in full.
Email [email protected] before your next billing date. Membership is month to month with no contract, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. No hard feelings, ever.
Ten seats. The same faces, every week.
